Choosing your replacement triode
What information should I send?
Include the existing tube model, a clear photograph of its label, the generator manufacturer, operating frequency, power requirements, cooling arrangement and quantity.
Can I choose a replacement by power alone?
Power alone is not sufficient. Electrical ratings, operating mode, mechanical dimensions, mounting, cooling and the generator circuit must be considered together. Contact us with the equipment details.
Where can I find dimensions and cooling information?
Open the PDF datasheet for the selected model to view its outline drawing and cooling curves. We can help you compare these with the requirements of your equipment.
What about pulsed operation?
Send the pulse duration, repetition rate, duty cycle and intended operating conditions. The suitability of a tube must be confirmed for those conditions.
